I was asked to make tokens for an IKU around 2002. The budget was minimal. While I don’t mind making things at a loss for the right cause, in this case (even though it was a good cause) I decided to give myself the challenge of actually using as little pewter as possible. The result were these two tiny tokens, each lighter than a dime. The elephant and the book-with-tower both have integrated hanging loops (the elephant in its “blanket” and the book in the central tower crenellation). To this day these remain some of my favorite tokens.
